Frankie Off-Leash

Every day, we set out from the house with Frankie for our daily walk, a routine that’s become a highlight for all of us. We usually cover between 2.5 to 4 miles, exploring the charming local parks and the hidden forests that make our neighborhood such a delightful place to live.

One of our favorite stops is a lovely park just a short distance from home. This park is a little oasis in the middle of suburbia, with tall trees offering shade and a peaceful stream running through it. Today we let Frankie off-leash here, and she eagerly explored the wooden amphitheater, hunting for lizards and mice. She enjoyed splashing in the stream, while we enjoyed the calming sound and the cool, fresh air.

Our walks often take us through winding paths of small forests that are surprisingly tucked between rows of houses. These wooded areas feel like a world away from the streets just steps outside, and Frankie is often curious, sniffing every leaf and stick. It’s a great way for all of us to reconnect with nature and forest-bathe, even in the midst of a suburban setting.

Recently, during one of our walks, we met our neighbor Cedrick and his dog Pauline (Pepet). We decided to let Frankie play off-leash, and the two dogs had a great time. Frankie had the zoomies, while Pepet looked on amused. Even though we were half-panicked she would run off, it was fun to see Frankie make new friends and enjoy some extra freedom.
Each walk is a new adventure, whether we’re exploring a familiar trail or discovering a new route. These daily outings aren’t just about exercise—they’re our time to enjoy the beauty around us, bond with Frankie, and make the most of our days together.
